![]() ![]() I feel for both of the characters and appreciate the dilemmas of both. Shot down, but then he did lose her at a crowded carnival.Īt episode 8 I’m happy to say that this is working out as a fantastic romance anime. In what shouldn’t be seen as a surprising move, Isla tells him she can’t do it as episode ends. The end of the episode sees Isla asking if she upsets Tsukasa, before Tsuakasa goes onto to confess his love for her. It’s quite refreshing to watch a show where all the girls are helping the guy get with girl he wants.Įveryone around Tsukasa, probably with reason, is much more comfortable about the prospect of retrieval of their friends and the loss of their memories. At the carnival, Isla gets separated from the group, forcing Tsukasa to run away from the others in search, only for Eru to say behind him ‘Hang in their, kid.’ It’s just little things like that which are really making the show that something extra special. Eru’s friend is very much seem to be robotic or lacking in some kind of sensitivity to the quite desperate situation. For the first time, in episode 8 we see that starting to change. Having half of the characters act like robots would have killed the show from the start and made it very difficult to subscribe to any kind of love story between Isla and Tsukasa. Up until this point the show has very much humanised all of the Giftia’s and it’s definitely been a good thing. He agrees, with Isla coming along as well. Eru goes on to ask Tsukasa if he’ll accompany them to the carnival. The message seems to be the same from her as it was from everyone else, her friends memories aren’t coming back, even if, they get on well (which they do). Another opportunity for Tsukasa to find out some information arises when one of Eru’s old friends (also a Giftia), arrives from Section 3 for a job, but with a new OS, meaning she doesn’t recognise Eru.ĭespite having the same body, with a new OS, there are none of the old memories. Michiru is most absolute as she alludes to feeling the same in regards to her own father before he was retrieved. Once their lifespan expires, all Giftias need to retrieved and their memories wiped.Īfter going on an assignment where an older lady asks Tsukasa for her Giftia’s body to be renewed with a new OS, Tsukasa starts asking the team if it’s possible for a Gifita’s memories to be restored. Along with the revelation that Isla’s retrieval date is in a months time, episode 8 is Tsukasa trying to find some hope that after that, Isla’s memories might be restored. This week it was episode 8 of the latter, and dear god, the feels train is only getting faster and faster.Īfter last weeks episode we saw Tsukasa and Isla go on a date at the amusement park. Along with Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon? I’ve been watching Plastic Memories as the first two shows I’ve ever simulcast. ![]()
